Back Online

Wow so much has happened since I've been offline for a few weeks. I have started the new job and am working for the second week. I absolutely love it and can't wait to finish training and start the real work. My job is working at a center for sexual assault and also going into the schools and teaching kids and giving presentations while also serving drop in hours to talk to kids one on one. I will also be taking turns on the hotline and taking calls and going to area hospitals to accompany survivors of sexual assault. My co-workers are all great so I am very excited about everything.

Possum is doing wonderfully. He's running around and tearing up the place. I went to the barn last weekend and free lunged him in the arena and he was jumping jumps and having a great time. The barn wounds are mending. There was a lot of confusion, cross talking and questions that no one knew the answers to. As you can see from the comments in my last post people can be very nasty. I had to laugh when I heard about those comments because it was the wife of the man who was injured who told me about them. It's funny how people can lie so much and be so mean and vindictive when they don't even know the facts and clearly did not see the events that took place although they claim they were there and also ride at my barn. They obvioisly don't know me very well is all I have to say.

As for my back I am healing really well. I'd be lying if I said I havn't hopped on my horse bareback to walk around. My hip is also healing although it still hurts like a bastard. But I'm much more mobile and getting better everyday. It's just hard for me to be at the barn right now cause I can't ride or basically do anything. I'm thinking of trying a short ride in the arena rhis weekend and see if I can even post the trot.

Things are going really well and I am so grateful for everyone's well wishes', and prayers. I feel like I'm in a good place right now too. I also have anew good friend who I will talk about later, but for right now I'm doing well. Have a great day everyone and talk soon.

I'm so happy for you!!

Glad to hear your recovery and new job are going well and that things at your barn are settling down.

It's maazing how crazy things can get and confusion swirls after an accident.

But, like I said, I am glad things are going well for ya!

Glad to see you back online and healing more everyday. I think emotions are healing as well, and in time, it'll all be fine. It was good to see you moving more freely the other day. Don't push it with riding too soon though...at least you can exercise Possum from the ground, so no need to rush things. I'll be at the barn Saturday if you need me to leadline you & Possum around though. :0) My "G" is doing well each day too and will be back to work soon I hope...he's driving me crazy!

Glad you are doing good - my MRI came back with bad news so I am kinda pouting today.

I am jealous that you got to ride your horse - if even just at the walk. My doctor has threatened me within in an inch of life not to ride. Plus my lawyer wouldn't like it either.

I was thinking about you alot and hoping you were doing well and liking your new job. That always helps things transition.

Yay! I have been checking your blog for updates, so I am glad to hear things are going okay. That is awesome that you like your new job and coworkers! And don't rush riding, but I would totally have a hard time not doing the same thing ;-)

How's the new doggy? I hope she's still fitting in!

Man I didn't even know someone posted that crap on the other post. If I had I would've responded sooner I promise.

Hope I don't make anyone more mad at you for that comment, but I tend to be fairly protective of my friends. I tried not to swear too much...that was a VERY conservative version of what I wanted to say...

Glad to hear that you are up and about and that your new job is going well! Hopefully things at the barn smooth over in time. People can really be jerks...

Yay...she's back online...lol!!

I am so glad that you are healing well and feeling better, and I hope that everyone else involved is doing the same. :)

Not to sound like an old, crabby, know-it-all, but be careful out here on your horse! I know it is hard to abstain, but in the long run, you will heal much better (and quickly!) if you hold off until the doctor gives you the go ahead. OK...I am done!

PS-I didn't read those nasty comments either, and I just want to ask the person who wrote them if it would have made it any better if you were the one that was injured worse? No! It was an accident!

Welcome back!
Glad to hear the new job is going well, that type of job is sometimes undervalued but it is a very important job.
I'm also glad to hear Possum is feelin' good and that you're on the mend, but don't push it too much too soon!

I'm so glad to hear from you. I was getting kind of worried, especially after reading all the negative comments. I really hope everything settles back down at the barn.

Great that you're back & glad you are enjoying your job!
